About this excursion
Join us for a day out at RHS Garden Wisley! Our inclusive rate provides comfortable coach travel on our modern, air-conditioned coaches driven by a friendly and professional driver from our many pick-up/drop-off points across Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester, as well as your entrance ticket.
RHS Garden Wisley is the flagship garden of the Royal Horticultural Society and one of the largest plant collections in the world. RHS Garden Wisley is both the historic home of RHS and a fantastic garden of the future, thanks to a brand-new planet-friendly research centre.
The garden is all about inspirational gardening and the plants are regularly assessed to make sure that visitors can explore something new and get inspired with each visit. With 33 defined areas, it’s one of the most beautiful gardens in the world.
Visit the research centre RHS Hilltop – The Home of Gardening Science, which is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists. See the vital work being done to help future-proof our planet and learn all about the RHS’s groundbreaking research.
Discover fruit and veg of all shapes and sizes in the World Food Garden, sit and reflect in the Wellbeing Garden, or spot insects skimming the water’s edge in the Wildlife Garden. Breath in the fresh air and challenge yourself to race up Battleston Hill, follow the sweet scents in the Bowes-Lyon Rose Garden, or explore the different species of plants in the tropical Glasshouse. Or enjoy a relaxing stroll through a collection of magnificent century-old trees, as you wonder through the Pinetum in amazement.
Step back in time inside The Old Laboratory and discover the early days of the RHS at Wisley brought to life through interactive exhibits, artefacts and the memories of previous students and staff.
Our coach will collect passengers between 7:30 and 8:30, before departing to be at the gardens for arrival around 10:30. The coach will depart the gardens at 17:00, aiming to drop-off between 19:00 and 20:00.
